Hyndland Friday Kids' Club
Meets: Fridays at 5:30 PM (during term-time)
Location: Hyndland Community Halls, Novar Drive
Hyndland’s Friday Kids’ Club is a lively, welcoming group for children in P1–P6 (Juniors), offering a fun and varied programme of crafts, games, songs, and snacks. Meeting every Friday evening from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM during term-time, the club provides a safe and supportive space where children can be creative, active, and make new friends.
Each session includes a mix of hands-on craft activities — such as baking, mural painting, and plate decorating — alongside individual and team games designed to encourage teamwork and confidence. Children also enjoy songs and snacks, with extra treats and special celebrations throughout the year, including the Summer Barbecue, Christmas Party, and Burns’ Night.
As part of the club’s roots within the parish church, sessions also include a short, age-appropriate discussion about the life and work of a significant Scottish saint, such as Saint Mungo, the patron saint of Glasgow. These moments help introduce children to Scotland’s Christian heritage in a relaxed and engaging way.
The cost per session is £1.20 per child, or £1.00 per child for siblings attending together. The club is open to everyone, and no prior connection to the church is required. Whether your child is looking to try something new, meet friends, or simply enjoy a fun Friday evening, we would be delighted to welcome them.
