The Guild
Meets: Mondays at 2:00 PM (fortnightly)
Location: Naseby Halls, Randolph Road
The Guild is a long-standing and valued part of life at Broomhill Hyndland Parish Church, offering a welcoming space for fellowship, faith, and service.
Meeting fortnightly on Monday afternoons at 2:00 PM, the Guild forms part of the wider Church of Scotland Guild movement, which has supported local communities and global causes for more than 135 years. Guided by the motto “Whose we are and whom we serve” (Acts 27:23), the Guild encourages thoughtful discussion, spiritual growth, and practical action rooted in Christian values.
Each meeting offers a varied and engaging programme, including short acts of worship, Bible reflection, guest speakers, musical afternoons, and social gatherings. Members also support the national Guild projects of the Church of Scotland, which focus on charitable, justice, and mission work in Scotland and overseas. Through these projects, the Guild plays a meaningful role in addressing inequality, supporting vulnerable communities, and promoting compassion in action.
Although the Guild has its roots as a women’s organisation, it is open to everyone, and new members are always welcome. Whether you are looking to build friendships, explore faith in a relaxed and supportive setting, or contribute to positive change locally and globally, the Guild offers a strong sense of belonging. You do not need prior involvement with the church to attend — simply come along and see if it’s right for you.
